Opens brand’s first boutique at The Plaza Hotel in New York, which wins an architectural grand prize at the Association for Retail Environments Design Awards.

2009

Oprah Winfrey wears Spanish Sunflower earrings on the December 2009 cover of O: The Oprah Magazine.

Madonna wears Edelweiss cross necklace to the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala in New York

Drew Barrymore wears pearl ring and earrings to the 61st Primetime Emmy Awards, where she is nominated for Best Actress.

2010

Wall Street Journal profiles Anna as the “Diamond District Artisan.” 

Collaborates with fashion designer Jason Wu for his Resort 2010 fashion show in New York.

The only Asian jewelry artist in KARA 2012 Arts Jewelry Yearbook.

2011

Receives the China Institute’s “Artistic Vision of the Year” Award, given for the first time to a jewelry designer.

2011 Madonna features Anna’s jewels in her biopic, W.E., inspired by the story of Wallis Simpson and King Edward VIII. Anna attends world premiere at the Venice Film Festival with Madonna.

Scarlett Johansson wears Dragon Flower ring and Hilary Swank wears Myth of the Orchid earrings and Duchess Hibiscus ring to 83rd Annual Academy Awards.

Designed  "Himalayan Poppy Earrings" for Bhutan Royal Wedding, the Bhutan Queen wore it in the banquet after the wedding and visited the Emperor in Japan.

2012

The Louvre’s Musée des Arts Décoratifs presents Anna’s first global exhibition, Symphony of Jewels: Opus 1 in Paris.

Winner of "International Jewelry Designer of the Year" at ELLE China Style Awards. 

Anna’s first book, Symphony of Jewels: Opus 1, is published and distributed in the U.S. by Vendome Press and internationally by Thames & Hudson.

Orpheus Jade Ring sells for $2.59 million at Christie’s Hong Kong Magnificent Jewels sale (May), breaking the world auction record for a Chinese contemporary jewelry artist.

Côte d’Azur brooch sells for $4.57 million at Christie’s Geneva Magnificent Jewels sale (November), breaking the world auction record for a contemporary jewelry artist, previously held by JAR, and the highest auction price per carat for a Burmese sapphire.

2017

Exclusively invited by Christie’s as the first-ever contemporary jewelry artist to exhibit solo at its London headquarter, and launches the 10th Anniversary Worldwide Celebration Exhibition at The Ritz Paris in partnership with Christie’s Magnificent Jewels during Paris Couture Week.

Brand’s debut at La Biennale Paris draws immensely positive feedback from connoisseurs around the world as well as international press attention from publications such as The New York Times, Forbes, Robb Report, Vogue, BlouinShop Magazine, etc.

2018

Honorably admitted into Le Comité Vendome Paris as the first Asian jeweler to be featured on the official couture calendar.

Becomes the first Asian contemporary jewelry artist whose signature creation – China Red Magpie Brooch – is included into the permanent collection of The State Historical Museum in Moscow Kremlin.

2019

Official launch Symphony of Jewels: Opus 2.

Participated in Teach For China Beijing and Shanghai with design of Enchanted Orchid Ring and Duchess Hibiscus Ring.

Participated in contemporary art and design fair PAD Monaco (April) and London (September) as the first Asian jewelry artist. 

Leaping Koi Necklace in Aquamarine at Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, on the special occasion of the Monte-Carlo Gala for the Global Ocean. 

Dunhuang Pipa Necklace sells for $5.78 million at Sotheby’s Hong Kong Magnificent Jewels and Jadeite sale (October), breaking the world auction record with the highest price for a contemporary Chinese jewelry artist.

New masterpiece “Silk Road Music Collection,” a collaboration with Sotheby’s brand dinner  and Cello Concert with Yo-Yo Ma for a live performance was hold at the Sotheby’s headquarters in Hong Kong. 

2020

Collaborate with Russia’s ALROSA, the world’s largest diamond mining company, and its socially responsible brand DIAMONDS THAT CARE by creating a beautiful trio set of necklace, earrings, and ring to be auctioned by Christie’s to raise charity funds to fight Against COVID-10 globally.

2021

Collaborates with British Jewellery House Moussaieff and launches “Moussaieff by Anna Hu” collection in global exhibition.

2022

“Yin Yang Hand Ornament” created for contemporary artist Cindy Sherman back in 2010 enters the permanent collections of Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.

Invited by the world’s most preeminent fair of fine art, antiques and design TEFAF (The European Fine Art Foundation) Maastricht to exhibit in its 35th Edition fair among the handful of select distinguished jewellers. 

Launches brand’s 15 year anniversary celebration at Musée des Arts Décoratifs by hosting grand gala dinner and special exhibition. 

Guest Speaker at SSEF’s 50th Anniversary symposium on “Bespoke Jewelry and Rare Gems”.

2023

Invited by TEFAF (The European Fine Art Foundation) Maastricht 2023 as the only “Meets the Experts” speaker representing high-jewelry exhibitors. 

Invited by Teach for China Gala Auction and donated “Celestial Lotus Earrings” to raise charity funds – sold for RMB $1.6 million, three times the initial estimation. 

Presents latest creations during July Haute Couture Week at Hôtel d'Évreux in Place Vendôme and announces the official launch of “Papillon du Blanc” as one of the Maison’s classic collections.

2024

Invited by TEFAF Maastricht 2024 for the third consecutive year as the only Chinese high-jewelry exhibitor to unveil her latest one-of-a-kind creations inspired by Asian arts and culture.
